We are happy to welcome Olivia Pierce to the Samaritan family. Here is a little of her history, which you can find more information from the staff in the “About us”, “staff” area. She will be mainly working in our Prattville office.
Olivia Pierce is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of West Florida in 2000 and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University in 2006. She works with adolescents, adults, and couples.
She has been married 13 years and has 2 girls: 5 and 1. She has been practicing counseling almost 10 years.
Olivia incorporates several therapeutic orientations, such as Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Cognitive Processing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Her specialties include anxiety disorders (primarily PTSD dealing with war, sexual abuse, trauma, etc.), mood disorders, Cluster B personality disorders, adjustment disorder, bereavement, and dual diagnosis. And she is trained in Traumatic Stress Response.
Prior to working for us, Olivia worked for the Department of the Air Force and Department of Corrections, providing counseling to active duty military and family members, as well as female inmates.
