Wendy is licensed as an LMFT in Alabama and California. Wendy graduated from Biola University with a B.A. in Humanities with a Philosophy emphasis. She earned a teaching credential from Seattle Pacific University and went on to earn her Masters in Counseling from Palo Alto University. Wendy spent three years in a Title 1 elementary school in Palo Alto, providing therapy to children from a variety of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. She has also worked with couples and individuals in private practice and in community mental health with people of all ages.

Wendy’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, humanistic, and multicultural. She spent over three years of her life living outside the U.S., including Jordan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, which allowed her the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of people different than herself.

Therapeutic modalities she utilizes are evidence-based and incorporated as determined by the client’s needs. Wendy is certified as an EMDR Therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and has completed Level 1 training in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy). She is also a certified Compassion Fatigue Practitioner and Educator through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
