Dr. Kwoneathia Boswell is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Alabama. She obtained her B.S. in Psychology from The University of Alabama and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Mississippi’s Clinical Psychology program. Her training and clinical experience include working with clients with a variety of presenting concerns, including working with adults and students to help them manage anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, student issues, academic difficulties, relationship issues, interpersonal conflicts, and personal and situational concerns. Dr. Boswell has experience providing individual and group therapy, in-person and via telehealth. Her goals as a psychologist are to be empathetic, supportive, collaborative, and encouraging, promoting the well-beings of clients. She believes that it is important to provide a safe, supportive environment in order to instill hope, help clients gain perspective, promote positive change, and empower clients to help them live a more fulfilling life. She believes that each client is unique; thus, she individualizes treatment planning for each client to best meet their needs and incorporate each client’s unique strengths and values in their work together. Dr. Boswell’s approach to treatment utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and integrates other techniques such as behavior therapy, multicultural counseling, existential/humanistic approaches, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, interpersonal therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
